Youth Exchange Ideas Festival: get on board

22 June 2017

The first Gold Coast Exchange Ideas Festival launches at Southport CDB this weekend.

The inaugural festival features free stalls, workshops and activities designed to spark creativity among the city’s youth. It is on from 3pm until late on Friday 23 June and 10am until 5pm on Saturday 25 June.

It will feature food trucks, entertainment, interactive art, poetry, dance and much more, giving 18 to 25 year olds the chance to innovate, collaborate and connect.

Acting Mayor Donna Gates said it was a chance for young Gold Coasters to explore innovative ideas for practical everyday living.

“The Exchange Ideas Festival is an outcome of the City’s Youth Plan.  It’s about tapping into the enormous potential and creative energy of our young people. They make an amazing contribution to our community and we’re committed to enhancing the quality of life of young people living, working or studying on the coast,” Acting Mayor Gates said.
