Clean Up Activities

City maintenance crews will be focusing on clean-up efforts this morning especially our beaches and roads.

Any roads affected by floodwater will be inspected before being reopened.

Debris continues to be removed from the beaches.

Residents are reminded to:

  • Stay out of swollen rivers and creeks. Not only are there hidden dangers below the surface but stormwater runoff can increase bacterial levels in the water making it unsafe for swimming.
  • Drive to conditions
  • Exercise caution at beaches and always swim between the flags.
  • For assistance for flood or storm damage call the SES on 132 500.
