SOUTHERN GOLD COAST FLOOD WATER UPDATE

Flood waters in the southern Gold Coast are receeding.

Bureau of Meteorology, reports stream levels are easing in Tallebudgera and Currumbin Creeks.

No further significant rainfall is forecast for this event.

Pimpama and Coomera Rivers:

The Pimpama and Commera Rivers are now below the flood level.

Nerang River:

Outflows from Hinze Dam are currently peaking but will remain above the minor flood level during Friday. 

The Nerang River at Clearview is currently at 5.24 metres and peaking below the minor flood level.

The Nerang River at Evandale is currently at 1.13 metres and steady. The Nerang River at Evandale will remain below the minor flood level (1.80 m) during Friday.

Mudgeeraba Creek:

Stream levels on Mudgeeraba Creek at Mudgeeraba and now below the moderate flood level and continuing to fall.

Tallebudgera and Currumbin Creeks:

Stream levels are easing in Tallebudgera and Currumbin Creeks.
