Summary information

The weather system has started to break up.

Following winds are a real concern now.

Expect winds exceeding 120 km/h (Category One) from 9pm with gusts.

Sand bagging operations finishing at 9pm.

91 power outages in Benowa currently.

TOMORROW

  • Do not let children play in flood waters.
  • Do not try to cross creeks.
  • Do not go near power lines or fallen debris.
  • Power outages overnight may be an issue 136 262. Lines down – 131 962.

 

Beaches

 

Expected to be impacted tomorrow with waves up to 4 metres.

Stay away from the beaches tomorrow. They will almost certainly be closed. Wave power will run up the beach.

76 road closures currently. SES has managed 258 jobs with 14 teams.

All schools closed tomorrow.

Centres

Voluntary evacuation centres are currently open.

Helensvale; Robina, Nerang, Ormeau and Elanora.

 

Hinze Dam

Hinze Dam is at 113 percent capacity and topping.
