GOLD COAST WATER AND WASTE UPDATE

Water

  • Water outage issue in Upper Coomera has been resolved, customers are back online.
  • Customers in Worongary Road and Glenaura Drive, Tallai are experiencing a water outage (50 – 100 properties).
    • Crews are on site making repairs.
    • Water tankers will be brought in to supply impacted customers.
    • Restoration timing to be advised.
  • Overall water supply and water quality across the city remains good.

Waste

  • Currumbin and Merrimac Waste and Recycling Centres are closed today due to localised flooding.
  • All other Waste and Recycling Centres have reopened and will remain open subject to local road access.
  • Collection services are proceeding today as normal subject to road access. This includes the general, recycling, and green waste wheelie bin service.
  • Any missed waste services will be caught up as soon as practicable. If your service has been missed, please leave your bin out.
  • The Stapylton Landfill is now closed due to localised flooding. All commercial operators should divert to the Reedy Creek Landfill site.
