Evandale Customer Service Centre on the move

9 December 2015

The City’s Customer Service Centre at Evandale is moving to make way for construction of the first stage of the city’s new Cultural Precinct.

Housed in the Surfers Paradise Administration Building, the centre will close on Tuesday 22 December at 5pm and reopen in a new location on the western side of Bundall Road in January.

“Our staff will be ready to help residents at our new centre at Karp Court from Monday 4 January,” said Mayor Tom Tate.

“It’s an exciting time at Evandale with work underway on stage one of the Cultural Precinct.  This will create a fantastic central outdoor stage and event lawn, and a new art gallery in time for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games™.”

During the last financial year the City’s Customer Contact branch dealt with around123,000 face-to-face enquiries.

There was around 3.7 million customer contact enquiries across all communication channels, including phone, web, email and smart forms.

Council’s Nerang office will open between Christmas and New Year.  Other service centres will close on Christmas Eve and reopen on Monday 4 January.
