Flood warning – Albert River

An Emergency Alert flood warning has been issued by City of Gold Coast for residents in Alberton, in the north of the City.

The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted major flooding will develop downstream along the Albert River this morning and that low lying areas of Alberton may flood.

Residents in the affected area should warn their neighbours, secure their belongings and move to higher ground immediately.

For flood assistance call the State Emergency Service on 1 3 2 500. In a life threatening emergency call triple zero (000).
